Non-Revenue Water Management Platform (NRW)
A new development phase for the NRW platform that preserves the original GIZ/HCWW workflow while improving the back-end, analytics, reports, translations, and user management.
The NRW platform is a specialized software system for water utilities to manage non-revenue water programs across companies, governorates, DMAs, and DMZs. It centralizes field measurements, billing data, consumption assumptions, network information, and loss calculations in one bilingual web workflow.
Current platform functions include national dashboards, map-based measurement points, DMA/DMZ master data, monthly verification workflows, water balance calculations, commercial and physical loss analysis, chart reports, zone birth certificates, user guides, roles, permissions, and admin management.
New phase: the platform is being developed beyond its original implementation into a more professional production system. The work focuses on cleaner back-end data models, stronger validation, Arabic/English translation, improved report generation, clearer project documentation, and a refined interface that explains how the platform supports NRW reduction.
Operational value: teams can compare before/after NRW rates, review billed and unbilled consumption, monitor pressure and flow points, identify meter and reading issues, separate physical and commercial losses, and generate management reports for decision makers.
The visual assets keep the original screen structure, colors, menus, maps, forms, and reports visible so the project still shows the base design while presenting the new development phase in a cleaner website format.
